Q: Are children allowed? A: Yes. We offer a Children's Menu, but for the more adventurous child they can try any of the items on the price fix menu in a taster size portion for a child-sized price. Please do let us know if you are bringing a buggy or pram or if you require a high chair ahead of time if possible so we can ensure you are seated comfortably.
Q: Are dogs allowed? A: Yes! We are dog friendly during lunch service on the ground floor, and by pre-arrangement during evening service. Please let us know ahead of time if you will be bringing your dog by emailing us on firstname.lastname@example.org so we can ensure you're seated appropriately.
Q: I have an allergy, is there anything for me to eat? A: Absolutely! We can cater for dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, gluten- and dairy-free. If possible, please inform us in advance of any specific dietary requirements so we can ensure you are well fed. Please see our menu pages for more information.
Q: Can I bring my own wine? A: Sadly not. We have worked hard to put together a great selection of wines and we feel we have enough choice to suit all tastes and price brackets.
Q: I’d like the taster menu, how long will it take? A: We advise leaving 3 hours for the 7-course taster menu.
Q: There’s more than 10 of us. Can we book a table? A: Our maximum party size is 8 people (including children).
Q: Is there a dress code? A: Not at all! We want you to feel comfortable, however, if you want to make more of an effort by wearing your Sunday best, you definitely won’t feel out of place.
Q: Will Tony, Becky & Rob be working? A: Yes! All three are full time at the restaurant; however, we can’t guarantee you will get to see them on your visit. If you do see them, please do ensure to say hi as they are all happy to have a chat.
Q: It’s a birthday celebration, can we bring a cake? A: Yes! Please just let us know before hand so we can be prepared.
Q: What time is the last sitting for dinner? A: The last sitting for dinner is 9:30pm.
Q: Everyone in my party wants the taster menu; can I choose from the price fix? A: Sadly not. We want our guests to enjoy their food together and wouldn’t want one guest to be sat waiting whilst the others are still eating. We ask that everyone in your party either has the taster or price fix menu.
Q: I’m not hungry; can I have a drink at the bar? A: Unfortunately not - we do not have a dedicated bar area.
Q: Why is the restaurant called Copper & Ink? A: We love that the name has a bit of mystery surrounding it and that it has so many connotations; copper cooking pots, squid ink, etc., but it’s down to the fact that Becky has ginger hair and is covered in tattoos (although Tony is rapidly catching her up in that department)! We like to say that it’s really the story of love, tattoos and cooking pots!

Q: Can I book over the phone? A: Yes of course! Please call us on 020 3941 9337.
Please be advised that bookings over the phone will still require card details to secure the table. The link can be sent to you securely via email, however, if the card details are not received within 48 hours, the booking will be cancelled automatically.
Q: Why are you asking for card details? A: We require additional protection against last minute cancellations and no-shows. Card details are required on all bookings and are required within 48 hours of making the reservation to fully secure the table. All card details are encrypted and cannot be accessed once provided.
Q: Do you sell gift vouchers? A: Yes! Gift vouchers are available to purchase from the restaurant in values of £50, £75 and £100. Vouchers are valid for 1 year from the date of issue and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit. If you are not local to the restaurant, vouchers can be purchased over the phone and sent to the purchaser or recipient by first class post. Please note that the voucher will need to be presented for redemption.
Q: Are you open? A: Yes! We open Wednesday - Saturday 12pm-11:30pm. We serve lunch between 12 & 3pm and dinner from 5pm-9:30pm. We close between services.
Q: Will you be opening on Valentine's Day/Mother's Day/Father's Day? A: We have no current plans to open on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday even if a 'holiday' such as Valentine's Day or Mother's Day fall on these days. Should we look to open specifically for a holiday or event, we will update our opening hours and website accordingly. We also suggest signing up to our mailing list to keep you in the know!
Q: I've asked some questions in my booking notes, why haven't they been answered? A: Whilst booking notes are checked in advance, this is usually done the day before the reservation. Therefore, if there are any specific questions you have that require an answer, please email us email@example.com or call us on 020 3941 9337 and we will be more than happy to assist.
Q: I'm celebrating a birthday, can I have a dessert with a candle? A: We love helping people celebrate their special occasions and do ask they are included in booking notes so we are aware. Please be advised that we don't offer candles in desserts, nor do we provide cakes or drinks, BUT, we will definitely add some Copper & Ink magic touches in order to make the celebration special for you.
Q: I'm trying to book a table for a Saturday night and I'm only seeing the option for the Taster. Why? A: From July 2022 we will only be offering the Taster Menu on Saturday nights. Therefore you will need to select this option to proceed through the booking system. If you would prefer the option to have the price fix menu, this will be available all day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and during Saturday lunch service alongside the Taster Menu.
